Our Mission

Classroom, Inc. is a nonprofit that helps students in high-poverty communities build literacy and leadership skills. By developing digital learning games and curriculum set in the professional world and supporting educators in creating student-centered classrooms, we invite students to take charge of their learning.

What We Do

We create digital learning games and curriculum set in the professional world that foster students’ literacy and leadership skills and connect school to life in the workplace. At the same time, we offer support and tools for educators.

Our History

For more than 20 years, Classroom, Inc. has worked to engage students in school and help them build essential literacy and leadership skills. The inspiration for the organization was born out of a successful partnership between Morgan Stanley colleagues and Columbia Teacher’s College that resulted in simulation software in which students acted as managers of a business.
